The route shows the full diversity of the country without a single wasted transfer kilometre. First up to the Bin
El Ouidane reservoir, then into the Middle Atlas via the springs of Oum Er-Rbia, one of the largest karst
springs in North Africa. On through Ifrane, nicknamed Moroccan Switzerland for its steep roofs and lakes,
and the largest cedar forest in the world, home to wild Barbary macaques. Then Fez and its UNESCO
medina, down across the Midelt plateaus to Merzouga and Erg Chebbi. The return runs through the Todgha
and Dades gorges, the Ouarzazate film studios, the ksar of Aït Ben Haddou, and finally the Tizi n'Tichka
pass at 2,260 metres.
100 % tarmac, with 15 to 30 % easy off-road on request. You ride a BMW F 800, F 850 or F 900 GS, with
the option of an R 1250 or R 1300 GS. The support vehicle carries the luggage: you set off each morning on
an unloaded bike, which changes everything on mountain roads.
Small group built by matched ability, led by a certified guide trained in first aid who rides ahead of you in your
language. Pillion welcome.

No. A valid category A licence, regular riding and confidence on a loaded bike are enough. Many of our clients make their first motorcycle trip abroad on this tour.
Yes, this tour works well two-up. With the luggage in the support vehicle, the bike stays light and comfortable. Contact us for the pillion rate.
250 to 350 kilometres a day depending on the stage, on winding mountain roads, with regular stops and time at the sites.
It's planned as 100 % tarmac. We can add 15 to 30 % easy off-road on request, matched to your level.

At Merzouga, accommodation is at a hotel or in camp depending on the season and conditions. We confirm the arrangement before departure.

Full board. A complete Moroccan breakfast, a hot meal at lunch on the stage — tagines, grills, Moroccan salads, seasonal fruit — and Moroccan cooking in the guesthouses in the evening. Tell us about allergies or dietary requirements when you book.
Yes, a local supplier can provide most of the equipment. Bring your own boots, jacket and gloves.
The support vehicle follows the group with a mechanic on board. If a bike is immobilised it's taken care of and the trip continues.
